Module 4

Reflection

This last module of FoDR, essentially required the combined knowledge and skills I had gained throughout the semester, with the exception of physical model building. The first part of the task was to translate the assigned narrative, to an interpretational physical form. This physical form is based on the old quad building, and to translate my interpretation of the narrative, I had constructed a model of the old quad in Rhino to later manipulate accordingly. The second part of the task was to assign notations onto the manipulated rhino model to further reinforce my personal interpretation of the narrative. The last part of the task was to realistically illustrate the two different perspectives of a scene, this was done, mostly, using photoshop. I found the last part of the entire task the most enjoyable as at this point of the semester, I have become so accustomed to Photoshop; through this I was also able to be as detailed and creative as i can in creating the images to accompany the notated model in telling my city's story.
