How to draw a Croissant?

Representing the croissant through orthographic drawings
and axonometric projection.

Module 1

Reflection

Throughout this first FoDR module, I have learnt how orthographic illustrations or drawings serve as instruments in providing true structural information of a three-dimensional object within the limits of a two-dimensional plane. I have also learned how to manually project a three-dimensional object in the axonometric with the use of grids to transfer forms.

A few skills I have gained from the process including how to properly capture elevation shots and basic photoshop. The module also allowed me to further sharpen my traditional sketching skills.

One aspect that required improvement regarding my performance in completing M1 was my presentation skills during the pin-up, which could have been mitigated by spending a bit more time preparing and, of course, practising.
